Beyond the basics

Tools that no other editor ships.

Clipping, filler cuts, captions, multi-format exports — all standard. These are the features that don't exist anywhere else.

Visual AI, not just transcripts
Clippy watches every frame — faces, actions, objects. Opus Clip reads the transcript. You can say “cut to when the product hits the desk” and it actually finds it.
Paste a stream URL, get clips
Drop a Twitch or Kick VOD link — Clippy finds the highlight moments, cuts them, and queues them ready to post. No timeline scrubbing. No six-hour stream rewatch.
Eye contact correction
Reading a teleprompter? Clippy redirects your gaze to the camera so you always look engaged. NVIDIA-powered, per-frame.
Color grading from a prompt
Say “cinematic teal-and-orange” or “Wes Anderson pastel” — Clippy builds a custom color grade and applies it per-clip. Pro-grade color, no Resolve.
Full AI audio stack
Generate voiceover scripts, sound effects, and background music that match the edit — scored to your cuts and mood, not pulled from a generic stock library.
Background removal + lip-sync dub
Swap your background in one click. Dub to 20+ languages with real mouth sync — not karaoke subs, actual lip movement.
Remembers your style
Clippy quietly learns how you edit — your formats, your pacing, your channel rules. Every prompt starts from what worked last time, not from scratch.

Edit videos from Claude Code.

ClipWith ships an MCP server — the open standard Claude Code uses to talk to outside tools. Drive your projects from your IDE or terminal: prompt an edit, render it, post it, never leave the loop. The only AI video editor that takes you from agent-prompt to published clip in one shot.

FAQ

Things people ask before switching.

  • Most AI editors only read the transcript. ClipWith actually sees your footage — faces, objects, actions, scenes — so you can say "only the shots where I'm looking at camera" and it works. Transcript tools can't do that.

  • You get 100 credits free on signup — no card needed. Credits are what the AI spends: asking for a change, having it watch a long video, turning one recording into a batch of short ones. Moving things around yourself is always free. When you run low, take a monthly plan or buy a one-time pack — see the pricing page. Credits never expire either way.

  • MP4, MOV, WebM, and most standard containers. Preview in the editor at 1080p; export up to 4K via Remotion Lambda. No hard monthly caps — usage is metered in credits.

  • Finish an edit, hit Distribute. OTF pushes it across its placement network at the lowest CPM in the industry. No separate dashboard, no CSV exports. Rolling out to active creators — email [email protected] if you want in on the beta.

  • Core editor actions (scrubbing, trimming, manual captions, stock B-roll) stay free. Only AI-powered actions draw from your balance, and you'll see the cost before each run. If you hit zero, a top-up dialog slides in — pay and you're back in under 30 seconds.

  • A change you ask for in words costs 12 credits. One that needs Clippy to actually watch the footage costs 30. Turning a ten-minute recording into five short clips runs about 300 — about half of that is watching the video, which is then reused for 24 hours, so a second pass is much cheaper. You see the exact number before anything runs.
