When something goes wrong

The failures people actually hit, and what to do about each.

An upload sits at 0%

Almost always the connection rather than the file. Uploads go in chunks and retry on their own, so give it a moment before restarting. If it's genuinely stuck, reload and start the upload again — completed chunks aren't re-sent.

A link import fails

Check the platform is one we support: YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Vimeo, TikTok. Private, members-only and age-restricted videos can't be fetched.

A long VOD takes minutes, not seconds. The editor stays usable while it works.

The preview won't play, or stutters

The transport stays disabled until enough video has loaded to seek reliably — that's deliberate, and it clears on its own.

If playback stutters when you scrub somewhere that hasn't loaded yet, that's the video buffering; it settles once the section is fetched.

An edit didn't do what I asked

Say so in the next message rather than starting over — "no, keep the intro" works, because the editor has the conversation and the current state of the video.

If it consistently misreads a request, being concrete helps more than being detailed: name the moment, the section or the words involved.

"Visual AI failed" or indexing stuck

Indexing is what lets prompts refer to what's on screen. If it fails, transcript-based editing still works.

Most often this is a temporary capacity issue upstream — retrying the analysis from the banner usually clears it.

A scheduled post failed

Open the schedule page; the reason is on the row. The usual cause is an expired platform connection — reconnect under Settings → Publishing and retry the post.

Failures stay visible until you retry or dismiss them, so nothing disappears quietly.

A render failed

Credits are returned automatically. If it fails repeatedly on the same project, that's worth reporting in Discord with the project name — it usually means something specific in the composition.

Still stuck

The Discord is the fastest route to a human, and the place where these pages get corrected when they're wrong.
