What ClipWith won't do

The deliberate limits — what it never generates, never posts, and never claims.

Knowing the edges is more useful than another list of features.

It won't generate footage

Every frame in your output came out of your upload. ClipWith cuts, reframes, captions, grades and arranges — it doesn't invent picture. If a shot the edit wants doesn't exist in what you filmed, you'll be told, not handed something synthetic.

This is a positioning choice, not a technical limit. Tools that generate video are a different product.

It won't reproduce someone else's work

When you match a creator's style, what transfers is the editing — cut rhythm, caption treatment, pacing. Their footage, music and logos don't. A bespoke motion sequence gets described to you rather than faked.

It won't publish on its own

Nothing goes out to a connected account without you asking. There's no automatic posting default, and if a platform connection expires you get a visible failure rather than a silent one.

It won't hide a failure

If an edit can't be verified, a render fails, or a job costs more than you have, it says so. Failed renders return their credits automatically.

It won't put words in someone's mouth

Captions come from the audio. A mis-heard word is a transcription correction, not a rewrite — the editor won't change what a speaker said to read better.

What it will do without asking

Two things happen automatically because leaving them undone produces worse output: log footage gets converted to a normal picture before any look is applied, and cuts get nudged off word boundaries so speech isn't clipped.
